2003 DIC (computer info)

I have 2003 GMC SLE with no steering wheel buttons (redundant radio controls were only option?). I would like to access some of the info in the computer, (sales brochure and owners manual say it is there). Owners manual says some information is not avaliable without the buttons. I only have engine hours.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm curious as well. There was a new GMC on the
lot today that did not have the radio buttons.
Does that mean you cannot access the MPG readout
and other features? The salesman could not
answer that question. No owner's manual in the
glovebox either.
