Does any one know if there is a difference in the 95 vs. 97 fan clutch? I did some searching on the site about clutches and everyone says you can really hear your clutch when it is engaged. I don't think I do, so I was thinking of replacing it. I know the best would be Kennedy's but I'm a little tight right now for $ so I am look at OEM.
I also offer the OE units for less $$$.

Coach - at some point in there, they went from a bolt-on to a thread-on unit. Not sure where that point in time is.

How many of the 99 6.5s here have the screw on fan clutch?

That's quite possible. GM has been known to do stranger things. The dual thermostat arrangement comes to mind. Some 96's have it, some don't. I've seen the screw on kind on a 99. Also, my Sister's 99 gas Suburban has a screw on fan clutch.

Hey Coach I have an OEM 97 Clutch that I put on for a few months then went to the heavier duty earlier cut in one. You can have it for $35 plus shipping if you want. The GM part number is 15022302. email me phjbaker@nvbell.net if you want it.

I am still trying to find out if the old one is working or not. That's a great offer though and I will take you up on it as soon as I can figure out if the old one is shot.

Does anyone know how to tell other than you just listen to it if the clutch is working or not?
It seems that 99-00 was when the transition took place. Most 99's that I've seen have the 4 stud style, but either way, the 4 stud water pump will swap into these without issue or compromise.
