Is it me or is the horn on these trucks a little on the weak side?? My S10 has a 2 tone horn. The 3500 has a single beep.
Is there only a single horn or do I have a 2nd hidden non-working horn? The only one I find is behind the passengers side headlight.
Has anyone mounted louder horns?? If so where did you fit them?

I would check with your dealer as it sounds to me that you might only have one horn working. There is 2 horns....1 high tone.....& 1 low tone. I noticed that the sound of mine changed, went to dealer & found the low horn was not working. 15 min later was back on the road. ( Now my truck sounds like a truck, not a Honda civic. LOL ) :D :D :D

Okay, now that I know that there are 2 horns, anyone know where the 2nd one is hiding?? I "see" one behind the passenger headlight, but where the other is???
If you want some really loud horns. Check with Griots Garage. They have a pair that is really loud. I had a set on my GTI. Too bad I lived in CA, everyone there ignored them anyway.

Apparently there is a horn behind each head light. I got into some mud the other day and apparently my passenger side horn is not working. I thought there was only one horn, on the drivers side, which sounded like it was full of mud. I tried flushing it with water to no avail. I am glad you posted this because I didn't realize I had 2 horns. :(
To the dealer for a replacement!! :D

Yes, the horns are terrible. Go look at how your PS horn is mounted. It is facing the tires! Get in a little mud and it is gonzo. Same thing happened to me. Went to the dealer, replaced it, and turned it around.
I bought some horns at Autozone, but havent put them on yet.
Speaking of horns, HOOK EM HORNS!!! :D

I mounted the horns upside down under the radiator core support. There is an existing hole on the drivers side of the truck that I enlarged and used for the air supply and mounting hardware. Crawl under your truck and remove the plastic skid pan behind the air dam under the front bumper.
