Well, the ol' Dmax is inching towards 100,000 miles. Somewhere along there, I hot a HUGE rock or something. And that fantastic 'chrome' grill took a hit.

What is out there in a FULL REPLACEMENT, or does anybody have one sitting around they would sell?? It is an 01 model....

Alli-Max,

Trenz makes a full billet aluminum grille for your truck. It runs about $750 I think, if I can find the website that I saw it on I will repost for you.

Sorry I don't have a grill sittin around, but I do see that you have 100,000 on the truck and your runnin the juice. How many miles have you been running the juice? I also see on your pics, that you routed another air intake underneath. Does this really make a big difference as far as performance? Is the stock filter being used in conjuction with the new setup? Thanks, Dave.

I put a Trenz billet grill on mine. I got the one that you cut the exsisting grill out of the trim ring and rivet the new one in. It looks great and was about 135.00. If you didn't damage the trim I would give it a try.

Alli-Max, if damage is such that you can use a grill cover, try: http://www.putco.com/

They have a stainless steel cover that looks like it is laser cut and looks to be good at stopping the larger bugs. It is called a Storm Screen Grill cover. For my 2002 GMC, the part number is 15119 and the retail price is just over $100. For questions, Putco can be reached at: info@putco.com

I haven't tried this grill cover, but was strongly considering one to cover a nick in one of my grill bars and to catch some of the bugs.

Can anyone out there speak from experience on this grill insert?
