I was looking for a more aggressive look for my 2002 K2500HD. I ordered Weld Stone Crushers 16X8 (3.625 backspace) and Dick Cepek Fun Country II LT285/75/16's. These will not clear the front bumper without rubbing even after cranking up on the torsion bars. I found similar rubbing problems with the LT265/75/16's mounted on the same wheels. Will trading for the 4.625 backspaced wheels solve my problems?

It will help considerably.....the 4 5/8 wheels.

I had Weld SS II with 285 BFGs and cranked the bars maybe 6 times, I can't remember. I also had to zip tie the left side rear where the emergency brake cable pushed the liner in and trim a little off the front and pull it as far forward against the water bottle. It would still rub when going up a curb and the wheel turned almost 3/4 or more, but at full lock it wouldn't. You could see where it would rub on the the rear push-nut (the plastic pieces that hold the wheel liner in), but I didn't want to beat the sheet metal in. If you did this, I would think you would be OK. Hope this helps.

I forgot to add, you will still need to trim the lower air dam at an angle.
