I just noticed my tweeter speaker fell out of its mounting spot and laying up against the grill. Do I have to take the door panel off to reinstall it or does the grill come off?

Take the door off, the speaker grille has bends on the back of it that hold it in place, you wont be able to get it to stay without bending those tabs from the back
P.S. I had the same problem....drill out the two cheesy "bolts" not even lol, that hold the tweeter down and use normal bolts to hold tweeter in place. Bill

Thanks thechevyhdman.

So back to question.....how does the panel come off? Do I tie some 1/2" rope to the door handle and tie the other end to my John Deere and run her WOT?

Go to this website...

http://www.kwmuth.com/

Somewhere on there, you'll find a pdf file that explains what you have to do to remove the panel...Ahh found it...

I know, the above are instructions for installing TTT mirrors in GM vehicles, but it also has an excellent section on removing door panels, including pictures.

remove panel that covers mirror mounts(snaps off) then remove two screws, one by the door handle and take flat screwdriver and remove trim panel around door lock and remove second screw behind it then just lift panel up and out feeding the door handle through it
