what wheel backspace?

I just put on 285-75-16's on the stock rims and I don't like it. Tires don't rub at all, just don't like the way the tires fit and the ride quality. I am looking at 3 different wheels.
1.Weld Super Stock Outback 16-8 w/a
4 5/8" backspace
2. Mickey Thompson Classic II wheel 16-8 w/a 5"
backspace
3. Mickey Thompson Classic I wheel 16-8 w/a
4 9/16" backspace
What backspace would you go with?
What's everybody running on their wheels and what do you or don't you like about the wheel tire combo?

the backspacing is 5" on the factory wheels. if you stay with 5" backspacing, you may be limited to what you can do if say in the future you decide to install a lift. 5" bs will help keep the wheels under the fenders. if you go with a wheel that is the same size, but with 4" bs, it will stick out 1" more out of the fenders. i think all of those you have selected would fit fine, but if it were my own vehicle, i would look for something with the same backspacing or as close to it as possable. [5" - 4 5/8" is the range i would use]

I have the RCD 6" Lift Kit on my 02 2500HD. I have 285's running on 16x8 Weld SSR's with 4 5/8 BS. Prior to putting the Lift on, this tire/wheel combo rubbed like H@LL. Actually pulled the plugs out in the tire well.

I am running Weld Outback's 16x8 with 4 5/8" backspace. I tried Centerline Rattler's with a 5" backspace, but the rims had a lip on the inside that rubbed on my brake caliper.

Man you guys make it hard to choose. Everyone's wheel/tire combo looked real nice. I think I'm going with the MT Classic II's. I'm getting them from Tyres International out of Ohio.

I believe mine are 16x8, 4 5/8's Eagle alloys. They are similar to the Mickey's and are better priced. (if I remember right) I really like the rims, pretty good quality and fit/finish.

Don't know if this will help or not, but I'm running a 17x8 with 4-3/4" backspace. It pushed the outside lip of the wheel 1-3/4" further out than stock. The sidewall of the tires is now nearly flush with the stock wheel flares. The tire size I'm running is a 285/70-17". It made a drastic change in the way the truck looks. I've debated putting a 6" lift on my truck, and keeping that in mind, I opted for the 4-3/4" backspace. (I had a local shop recommend a 4" backspace with a lift.) If I do go with a lift, I figure I can get the clearance I need with a 1/2" spacer behind the wheels. I just didn't want the tires sticking out past the fender flares at stock height.
