Say, what gives with the rear seat tool boxes? I got a price from my dealer of close to a Thousand Bucks! It's sure not worth that to me. Seems like I saw a post a few weeks ago where somebody had purchased some for under a Hundred. I'd like to have one, but gosh, at a reasonable price!
If you'll do a search for underseat or storage box in subject only, then a couple of threads will pop up.

The box was intened to be purchased as part of the GMC Professional option. Seemed like a lot of people were buying them outright and they changed the part numbers and raised the prices.
That was a couple of months ago. I called from TX to FL to CA to Canada to find one at $80. I can dig up the dealer in Canada if you like to see if they may have ordered more and possibly still have one. If so, it's txdoc2@removethisAOL.com (
removing the text after @).
Ebay had one that went for $300. And, maybe after a while people will need replacements and the supply for new trucks will be stable and you will see the price drop back to a "normal level".
