Suburban running boards

I put a set on my crewcab Friday. For those who already have how did you secure the last three angle braces to the cab? I was thinking of a self tapping screw right into the sheet metal but since the brackets push instead of pull I'm also thinking of not doing anything.

ps: I picked mine from Waldoch Conversion Center in Forest Lake, MN. Not sure what the deal was but this set was new in the box, $100.00. ;)
