Wrong Stock Heated Mirror ???????HELP

Hey Guys,
I need your help. I bought a used 2002 2500 HD D/A Crew from a friend who owns a car lot. The truck orginally came out of Canada. I noticed that the drivers side mirror was not heating up. I took it to the dealer and they replaced it. As I was driving home I noticed that the little picture that designates that it is a heated mirror isn't on the glass. I called the dealer and he asked the tech who assured him it was the same mirror.The service advisor told me if it doesn't work to come back. They replaced it with part#15179829-Mirror Assmbly. Is this the right number or not? They told me because the truck came out of Canada it might have different numbers. E-mail me at atvpilot2003@yahoo.com or reply through this topic. Every heated mirror that I have seen has the heated symbol on the glass. I have a Canadian 2500HD and an Americian 3500, both have heated mirrors and both have the symbol. Take it back and them to stop acting stupid and put the heated mirror on.

I have an '03 so, mine may be different, but I have the heated mirror option and I do not have that little symbol on my mirror.

Yes, they do heat.

My 03 Camper style mirrors are heated, but does NOT have the heat symbols. It's very possible they installed the latest heated mirrors which Do not have the symbol. To check, get of those cheap/inexpensive radio shack electronic Thermometers and hold the probe on the mirror and hit the rear window defrost button, you should be able to tell if it's heating in just a few minutes.

Same here, mine are heated and I have not seen the heated symbols on any of the '03's

The part#'s I have from my dealer are 15062885 & 15062886. These are the chrome capped, heated sport mirrors for the HD.

The dealer told me that they are making all the new ones with out the symbol. I think it's aload of garabage.I'm gonna just let it slide because I am going to change out the mirrors for the ttt tow mirrors Thanks for the reply guys. :D

With/without icon, the heated mirror will become warm to the touch.
