I am concerned that the bottom 1" of fuel in my bed tank could accumulate water and sediment. By installing a fuel pump connected to the tank drain valve, I can pump the fuel through a fuel filter/water separator and back into the top of the other end of tank.
What is the best and hopefully the easiest way to connect the pump to the truck electrical system?

If you don't want something fancy and aren't going to use it often just put a cigarette lighter plug on the end of the wire and run it into the cab when you need it and plug it in to the lighter.

Another option would be to put clamps on it that you could clamp to one of the batteries. I have a couple of lights in my bed that I wired directly to the fuse box in the front with a fuse and a switch. If I forget and leave the lights on, it will run down, but so far no issues since I only use them to see in the bed at night.
