View Full Version : TransferFlow Filler Neck
Can you tell me what is involved in installing the Transfer Flow fast fill neck. It looks like you have to drop the tank. How much work is involved.
I tried the "cheap" fix knocking out the restrictor but couldn't get it out. The bottom of the filler tube is flared inward and prevents the restrictor from popping out.

First that isn't a restrictor in the neck. When you remove the neck you'll see it is actually attached to a tube that runs down the inside of the big hose. This is what the fuel flows down and is why it's so slow to fill the tank.
As for install the fast fill, no need to drop the tank. You get under there and reove the complete hose assmy. You then trim out a piece of the exisiting hose and put a sleeve in there. Attach the new fill to the end of the hose and reinstall. Hardest part is feeding the new breather hose into the tank. Took about 1.5 hours start to finish laying on the ground under the truck.
