View Full Version : Juice & lopey Idle
I'm just about ready to order but was wondering how those with the lopey idle fared after adding the Juice. I thought I read a post that said at least one person said it corrected the lope. My lope is a cold & warm condition just under 100 rpm and the dealer said his hands are tied as GM will not approve replacement of the fuel pump.

Pointer, I have the lope, and it's been getting progressively worse for the last 2-3,000 miles. Adding the Juice did not alter it in any way- it didn't get worse or better. My lope is intermittant, and we've traced it back to the RPCV (Rail Pressure Control Valve) that's been discussed before. My SM is OK with replacing the pump, but wants the truck when the lope is really noticeable- (50 RPM variance, and 800-1000 PSI fuel pressure spikes) to get a good snapshot off the Tech II scan tool. For the record, my engine was built 11-00.
Mine was also built 11-00. I dont't understand why some dealers will replace the pump and others will not. The service bulletin on this limits the replacement to vehicles that have a 100rpm or greater fluctuation. Mine is just under. But it seems some dealers will still replacement it if under. Wish one was in my area. I've considered taking to a Flint MI area dealer that would do it.
My truck never had a lopey idle until I added the Juice. It only occurs when cold and is a very light lope. The tach is steady. It goes away in about five minutes. I just took the Juice off to go to the dealer tomorrow for some warranty work. I will check in the morning to see if it is now doing this without the Juice.
