Does anyone know if a molded storage unit for under the rear set of the 2500HD is available. I've seen a nice one made for Dodge but can't find anything for the GMC.

GM part number is 12498114. List price $250. My local Chey dealer wanted list price, so I got mine from GM Parts Direct (www.gmpartsdirect.com) for $150 +$30 shipping.
Listed in the GM Accessories catalog (page 9). Worth a look if you haven't seen it before, but is a large PDF file, so be forewarned.

You may also check on Ebay.
Not sure if that is what you want and need or not.
What you can get depends on what you want to pay. Go to the GMC accessories site.

They have a unit that closes in the rear seat of an ext cab. It is reasonably priced. The area is secured with the rear seat down and a lock is provided. I like mine.
The other unit I have seen seems to have skyrocketed in price to about $500 to $1100.00 depending on the dealer. It has storage trays.

Thanks for the assistance. The unit on gmpartsdirect.com costs $150 which is still high for $20 of molded plastic but much better that the $250 GM is asking. Thanks again.
Anybody ever pulled the flip up part of the back seat out? Any probs? Murf
