The trucks still at the dealers- but sunday we went to grab my oldest daughters 4-wheeler key out of it...it was inside! Thats must be a good sign!...All last week it was outside.
Talked to the Service writer on Thursday- basically called about this rent-a-wreck they have us in...if it was going to be weeks I was going to bring it back for a different truck..anyway-
Its the injector pump now after the 8 injectors. I asked "whats this going to run me"
The reply was nothing, uncle GM has you covered...weird huh?
It gets better.
We owed them from an oil change the day the injectors went in. Then- after dumping 3/4 of a tank of fuel through the crankcase overflow- I wanted another oil change, run it for 100 miles or so- and change it again.
They're doing this- and also covering the 3 oil changes I would have to pay for.
It's still heading for the trade in lot once we get it back...but he said we're close to 10K in parts/labor so far....YUP a new engine at 8K wudda been cheaper!
