I'm new to the forum and finding some good info. My problem is with my 2003 Chevy 2500HD 4X4 with the 6600 Duramax. At 56,000 miles the crank sensor went bad and cut the engine off while driving down the interstate. Got that repaired and then at 57,000 miles noticed the time from turning the key to engine start was taking longer and longer (5 to 10+ seconds). Then one evening it would not start at all. Towed in to dealer and the diagnosis was a bad fuel injector pump. They installed it but it would not build pressure properly so they put in a second fuel injector pump. It lasted about 24 hours before I was stranded again. I am now on the third pump (58,000 miles) and extended starts are still occurring. The mechanics at the dealership have no answers so what do ya'll say. What damage if any may be occurring to the starter or other systems as a result of these extended starts??
