Where to get oil analized for antifreeze?

Can anyone direct me to an oil analysis program? I want to have my 6.5 checked for antifreeze in the oil.

A local oil dealer ("jobber") may have the kits, or the nearest Cat, Deere, or other diesel engine dealer should have pre-paid kits you can buy and then mail in the sample.

A quick Google search will turn up thousands of more choices.

Check out The Diesel Page Advertiser's Section (http://www.thedieselpage.com/vendors/main.htm) . Many advertisers offer oil analysis kits with all you will need to do a complete test. Water/coolant content is one of the default tests with most of them. If you have a test done locally, they will probably use one of the same test kits you can buy from the advertisers. Unless you have a local lab that does the test in-house, the sent off types are best, and usually less expensive.

An easy way to check for water/coolant in oil at home; use an electric skillet or stove top burner and frying pan, heat on high, sprinkle a few drops of oil into pan. If there is coolant in the oil it will sizzle, the clean oil will not.

Take your sample to any large truck shop that works on CAT Cat has a testing service and the shop can get it done for you.
