I have a chance to purchase a 2002 chevy 2500HD extended cab base truck with 6-speed and Duramax. It has cruise, air, towing package, split bench with a folddown center (still basic vinyl), cd.
They are asking 500 over invoice total with rebate 28,800. Is this a good deal? I am concerned that manufacturer's date is Jan 2002. The dealer had bought several of this configuration.
Any updates or TSB's since Jan 2002?
Michael
What is the list price? 500 over list isn't bad. If he's trying to unload them he should be able to do better. If he has more than one do you care to say where this is? I'm looking for a 6 spd too.

I think he has 3 of them. I am driving there tomorrow to take a look. Let you know what I find.

windhorse,
Not bad, but not good........ The 03's are at the back door, so keep negotiating...... Ask what would he sell a 03 for?Alot of us got first year D-max's at invoice to $500 over when they were far more buyers then units.......I'd take a shot for invoice, no advertisement add in.......Get a BLACK 03 their not BUTT ugly some where else if they won't negotiate........
MAC ;)
