How do I find the build date for my truck? is it breaking down the VIN? If so, I have forgotten how.........

AFP, there is a sticker on the driver's door that will state month/year of truck. My 2001 was built 6/1. There is also a stamped date on the frame but I can't read it as I under coated mine & covered it up!1 The vin# has nothing as far as production date! Howard :D :D :D
