I have been looking for a month and haven't found any. Where do you find this. I ask people and they tell me diesel fuel is all the same. Same type of people that think that diesel fuel is the resulting garbage that is left over when gasoline is made. Where do you get your premium diesel? I use FPPF 8+ cetane booster and total power each time I refuel. I even treat at twice the recommended ratio as it is cold out right now. Given that the truck is getting a healthy fuel treatment boost at each fill up, is it a waste to look for premium fuel or is cetane the more the better?

Anyway, I just can't seem to find the stuff. :(

Flying J and BP sell premimum diesel. Click on the Flying J Map (http://www.flyingj.com/) for your state.

George Morrison, resident fuel/oil expert, speaks highly of BP Diesel Supreme (http://forum.thedieselpage.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=005381) in this post.

KENNEDY DIESEL (http://www.kennedydiesel.com/) handles the FPPF product line (choose the LUBRICANTS/OILS link), and AVLUBE (http://store.avlube.com/automotive.html) has Primrose. Both are quality products available from TDP advertisers with first rate service. Good luck.

Flying J also has the FPPF or at least the one in San Antonio does.

Jorday,

Meijer stations sell a good premium diesel fuel with Schaeffer's diesel fuel addatives in them. Check out http://schaefferoil.com/ for more info on their diesel fuel addatives.

I run Meijer diesel in the offseason and Ammoco/BP Premier during the dragracing/truckpulling season.

Michael,
So you just go to any meijers that has diesel and fill up? The same with BP stations in the summer? or do they have a separate pump with the BP premier?

Thanks,
Jordan

yes, all meijer diesel has the schaefers addative

bp/ammoco has seperate pumps for the premiere diesel. It's usually .10 more per gallon and easy to identify because its clear in color

Michael,
Thanks for the info. I haven't seen a BP anywhere that has a separate premium diesel pump, any around here?

Thanks,
Jordan

When I go to the dragstrip in lapeer I usually fill up at the BP station at the corner of M21&M13 on my way over. They ONLY have supreme/premier diesel and not regular #2. Some BP/Ammoco have both if they are a bigger station or a truckstop. Otherwise they usually only have regular #2 or the supreme/premier diesel. You might just have to start checking out the BP stations around to see if they have diesel and if it's premier or regular. If it isn't labeled as Ammoco Premiere or BP Supreme then it's just regular #2

I run premium from a small Standard now BP that is close to my house. I have been running their fuel since I got my 6.5 in 93. I know it makes a differance on mpgs and cold weather starting. My brother drives my 6.5 now and he put a tank full of Citco fuel in a few weeks and now that it has been cold it was strating like crap untill we got that fuel out of it. I have always had bad luck with Citco fuels. I don't know how many of you live out in the country, but the Roadmaster XL that co-ops sell Cenex is supposed to be the highest centane of any fuel. I have read in farm magazines that the Cenex fuels got the best gallons per hour in tractors and mpgs in big rigs.
