Well folks, the new 03' came in, early! The 18th was my due date for the truck. I guess this one came out of a C section. The truck is set up with everything but the DVD. -----

If there is anything that is different about the monster under the hood, please let me know. The thing just feels stronger?

Congratulations! I know the feeling. I don't know whether the '03s are stronger or not. It's probably all that happiness making you dance on the loud peddle. The one little trick that GM does not tell anyone is that they fiddled with the wires for the brake controler harness plug. You will need to reconfigure the harness (not the controller) for the new truck. Or you can move up two steps and get a new Prodigy or Jordan as a birthday gift to the truck.

Not on my GMC - I think that was a typo on a web page...

To the best of my knowledge the 02 and the 03 DuraMax have the exact same HP specs! I saw the same 320HP rating on the GMC web page and sent them an e-mail asking if it was correct? They responed quickly that it was a typo and the correct HP for the 03 DuraMax is still 300hp. The web page has been corrected and now reads 300HP.
I believe it will be late 03 or 04 before you'll see an increase in DuraMax engine HP and Torque specs to match or exceed the new Fo$d 6.0

My new GMC 03 CC D/A feels exactly the same as my brothers 02 GMC CC D/A. We've run side by side, bone stock and their both pretty much equal. Mine only has 1500 miles on it and is still a bit tight. I think once mine it breaks in, the 03 may be just a bit quicker?

Mine came in on the 8th and that was near a month early. Will pick it up on 15th after the accessories are installed. Already changed my sig.............cause I am sure I will not have time when I pick up the 03. Cleaned up the 02 today which is the identical truck to the 03 and almost wished I would have kept the 02. :D
