injection pump ???

has anyone installed a maunual pump on an electronic 6.5l. i have a freind that has a pump off a 6.5 manual engine (96 p-chassis chevy bread truck )
he has had alot of pump electronic problems. has anyone done this ? pro's or con's

Thanks for asking! I'm a 6.5 rookie also & even though I have built all my own PC's the electronic diesel marriage makes me a real "neanderthal". I had my share of problems w/ the 82 6.2 to but now, knock on wood it's running like the energizer rabbit. If we could get Yoda's blessing & council I'd be all for the change also!

Yes, I have. I'm working on something that should be on The Diesel Page soon. Its worth it if you are tires of the DS4 problems.
