I just don't get it. Why does a fuel filter have to cost 45.00  Its no different than the one's I use to buy for F truck metal can paper filter or some other kind of media. Used to change mine every 5000 miles. It s was cheap insur. at 12. to 15. a filter. My injectores lasted 168000 miles when I pulled them for pop test 2 tested bad 2 tested ok 4 tested good. guy there asked me how often I changed my filter. told him every 5000. He could not beleive it. I'm a maintance nut job anyways. tongue.gif Thats why my stuff lasts so long. Even on my 6.2 they where only 20.00. So any ways whats so special about them that they have to cost 45.?????????????????
It's a conspiracy. RACOR holds the patent on the $3 filter, so can charge $45 for it. It probably doesn't even cost $3 to make.
They probably figured sales would drop 50% with a filter with dual media made to last 2x longer. So why not charge twice the price to keep income at the same level. I highly doubt .50cents of media cost them an extra $20 to put it in. Major BS if y0u ask me...
Conspiracy......... Just like the oil tycoons, who reported RECORD profits just recently. Now we know why the price of oil keeps going up. Enuf is never enuf.
Back to your scheduled programming. :D
