cranky starter motor..

i have 2k on my 06..just this morning my starter motor is not doing its job on the 1st go around..sounds like the gear isnt hitting the flywheel..it does this on about every 3rd start..

any ideas..beside getting it to the dealer?

Check the battery connections...

Also, you might want to check to see that the starter bolts appear to be tightened down and that the starter flange is flat against the aluminum bellhousing adapter.

If it's not the above, it may be due to a defective starter drive. :(

JIM, you are the man..both bolts were as loose as a goose..and looks to have been checked off on the assmbly line too...
