Rough Idle

My '04 lly has developed a rough idle. Took it to the dealer and they said no problem was found. No serice engine light, no codes, no problem. My truck has around 32k miles. It seems to be worse when it idles in gear,as opposed to neutral,after I drive for awhile. Any ideas ?

Change the fuel filter...

With a Tech II or a Predator Programmer, you can look at a variety of engine data, like injector balance, fuel-rail commanded & actual pressures, etc. This would eliminate the primary sources of a rough idle.

Both my trucks will idle rougher with a bad tank of fuel too. After changing the fuel filter I would suggest using a large dose of fuel additive such as Power Service with an injector cleaner etc..

I was thinking fuel filter, I've been using Power Service additive for awhile. I installed a K&N air intake on it sometime back.
