Is there anyone here that has run secondary fuel filtering on their truck since day one.And if there is such a person can you take the time and tell us if you have had any injector issues.

How far has that truck run with out injector issues?

I've done a couple installs for guys with less than ~2k miles on their trucks.. however they rack the miles up like your boys so it will be quite a while before we know..

my truck got its CAT at 18k..

Is there anyone here that has run secondary fuel filtering on their truck since day one.

And if there is such a person can you take the time and tell us exactly what methods you used?

What setup? What model filters?

How exactly were they plumbed. Pre, post.

Lift pump?

Was the pump fuel pre-filtered? Or just regular service station fuel?

I have installed a Racor setup that Goerge sells on a truck, using the R60S filter and fuel heater, just plumbed it in line and mounted it on the frame rail. Truck only had around 1k on it and we just changed it and the oem filter out with around 16k on it. Too early to tell long term effects and its an 03 so its not an inherent injector eater anyways. I have had my MEGA on for around 8k, plumbed as per directions, with no lift pump. again, its an 03. I hope someone out there has an 01 with filtration from day 1 but I doubt it since they wernt known issues when the 01's were new

The early injectors use a softer metal in the needle and seat, they have since gone to a hardend needle and seat in a bout the 02 model year and all replacment injectors have it. I have verified this through GM field engineers and area reps. NOT a rumor.

Dave since you were to vague,i'll give you genral figure.650lbs x 9cuyds =5850lbs at .53 water ratio to produce 4inch slump with 5%(+-2%)air intrainment.12lbs Super P(Duraset). In 72 hours you would have 75% strength and at 28 days you would have 100%.Max temp during placement 75deg.

The 8 inch grout mix you mentioned would shrink to much and would not be acceptable.ACI do have extended paste designs where you use fly ash to control a W/C ratio to increase workability without segregation of the aggregate. How ever the mix design could reach up to 900lbs of cement per cuyd. The W/C would be down to .43 .

Do you work for a masonary company?
My family has been pouring concrete for a long time. We specialize in F-number floors.Relatives invented the Somero lazer screeds.

Brokers,
I'd say about 6%-7% on most days, maybe 4% moisture in the summer. No plastizer, just double the dose on the retarder, put the water reducer at 12 oz. per yard. 440 cement 1660lb. 3/4 stone, and lets make it 1700lbs on the sand. At 4% moisture, lets try 40 gallons of water to get a +-4" slump for 3000lb concrete. We can put the plasticizer in at the job site. Just don't let the load be over the 90 minute mark or I'll have to send it back.

I think your way over on the figure for 9 yards of 4000lb. concrete. Should be more on the line of 4500-4600lbs. Unless things have changed since I batched.

I know this is off subject but just what I have always wanted to know! Can one of you guys send me your email address so I can ask some dumb questions about concrete. I have made an observation be it accurate or not that today's concrete sucks compared to 15 + years ago. Is there a reason?
