AIRMAX Spiral Airflow Intake System????

I just ordered the AIRMAX intake system, it comes with the cone type K&N filter. Has anyone else got this, if so, what's your opinion and are there any installation problems/tips??

Correct me if I am wrong, but laminar (straight) air flow is better than spiral UNLESS the flow is wet and we are trying to create/maintain atomization.

In a diesel, all of our air flow is dry (absent of fuel) so the idea of spinning it is not a good idea...
