Hello all! I now have about 2200 miles on my truck and I have to confess, I had a hard time following the rules when I got my truck (break-in).
The dealer never mentioned the break-in when I picked -up my truck and by the time I read through the manual I already had 600 miles...
I drove home from dealer, about 40 miles from home and probably hit 70 once or twice, other wise babied.. Also, towed my 5500 lb. double axle trailer with approx. 1000lb or so in it for a short distance, 10 miles tops...

What do you think? Be nice...

Your fine, don't worry. Change the oil at 3k and the rear lube as soon as you get a chance.

jesshd,

What did you use for your differential change? It seems like I'm reading alot of people going with synthedic...

It comes with synthetic in the diff to start with from the factory. I changed it out and used Amsoil. I run Rotella T oil in the engine with a 5k oil change.

I changed to Mobil 1. I have used Mobil 1 in my other turbo car for 50K and it still looks new inside the motor.

I am running Rotella T synthetic in the engine as I can get it here locally at WallyWorld for a great price.

Hey,

Did you guys get an oil smell after first change? I did, mostly noticed when sitting at idle.
Thanks for the input....

There have been posts about that when oil type is changed, but I still use Dello 400, so haven't noticed anything.

FYI - the search feature here at TDP is a great tool to answer early ownership questions. Just be prepared to read and read and read and read and ..... ;)
