How many will it spin.... 3,200...3,500...4,000...4,500 or more? Would there be any problems with parts, like the water pump or something? I have not seen this mentioned for quite some time. In the beginning people were afraid their motor would blow up in T/H mode going down hill. Now, we are reaching the point where high RPM's can be reached via~ programmer.

This has been running through my mind also.

IIRC, she'll do 4,800 rpm, according to this:

600hp duramax. (http://www.thedieselpage.com/features/project2.htm)

Me personally, I'd like 800ft-lbs of torque at 1500 rpm for towing, but 600hp sure is cool!

Does it keep producing more boost as the rpms climb? Or does the boost hit its highest at red line then stay the same from there?

Duramonster all the trucks I have been around build max boost below governed rpm. They do however increase backpressure the higher the rpm. Sdaver did someone hook up an auxillary tach then try to blow it up with ether or what?

my understanding they ran it out of fuel tried to start it with ether and sprayed to much....when it started the tach pegged and the valvetrain exploded.........8k was just an estimate  dave
