how many mufflers ????????

Just got my truck few days ago and was looking under and found 2 muffelers. One is big, very big and in front of that is smaller and round. If this were a gas engine i would say it was a catalystic converter. This is a calif. truck. Can I take it off, should I, will it hurt or help. I need some help.

I believe, as a fortunate resident of California, you have been blessed with a Catalytic Converter on your diesel. My truck was delivered to Washington, and I do not have what you're describing. Do not remove it, unless you want the green police to come and confiscate your new truck, and toss you in jail for being such a menace to society! :rolleyes:

California emissions. Sounds to me like its a converter too, surely you would not want to remove it........ :rolleyes:

You bet Doug, what you have under there is a nice big Catalytic Converter made by Delphi. Next they will issue green or red stickers not only for ATV's but for on road vehicles so watch out!!!LOL
