Just picked up my custom built 24' motorcycle trailer today. It is an enclosed steel frame with aluminum skin. weight is 5975# empty. Truck pulled it like it was not even attached. its 8.5' wide so i'm sure it catching some air. pulled it home against the wind. just thought about telling someone how well it performed smile.gif :D

Now load 1/2 a dozen Harleys in it, take it for a tow and you will be even more pleased. Of course, you need 1/2 a dozen Harleys.

Good Lord, what's built into that trailer? My new 22' V-nose custom race car trailer, built using similar construction, weighs about 3700 lbs empty.

Who built yours? Santek Trailers down in Brea did mine.

I aggree with strange engine. It seems high. My 30' enclosed car trailer is only 5500 empty and grosses out at 10,000. I can't wait to pull it with the new Dmax. I've got a car in the trailer ready to go to Iowa as soon as the truck is ready. :D

My trailer has a walk on roof and that is a solid 3/8 inch piece of aluminum, has 3 inch wide bracing, 16" of stainless around the bottom and 24" across the front, stainless steel front corners, checker board floor, 6000lb axles on 16" wheels, ladder on front to access the roof. the trailer was built by the cm corporation in madill oklahoma. the guy said that is what it weighed when i picked it up yesterday, might have to weight it to be sure...
