01 vs 02 Dmax Performance

I'm told that the HP and Torque from the 01s to the 02s is stated by GM as being the same. Does anyone have factual information that this isn't the case? Also, are these number acuratly stated?

I have both 01 and 02 broachers and the number match. However, I know the airbox is really the only change that could make any differnce.

Not true ,there might be a difference:

How about software updates..........I was told the 02 were detuned slightly.Something to do with Allison......Any truth? Anyone else hear this?

Not sure about the de-tuning of the 2002, but I know my 2001 felt stronger - "aggresive throttle". I believe the updates take that away and I also believe most are complaining about worse fuel mileage after getting the updates. I personally don't think there is any difference, but sometimes my truck feels stronger. Kinda like washing it and it riding smoother :D ;) . BTW I have a 2002.
