Does the Juice increase fuel mileage and, if so, how does it do it? It seems that I read on a post that it does increase mileage.

Thanks.

Since I installed this wonder box I have gotten anywhere from the same to 1.5mpg better. All the other benefits seem to outweight the need for better mileage. Maybe one of the lower settings would yield better mileage...I probably will never know! C,mon Mack.... I guess it will have to be you cruising around on a lower setting...just think of all the people on this board that are concerned about mpg...you can do it!

Though I've only been Juiced for a two tanks of fuel, one of them being Soy Diesel, I'm seeing a gain of about 1 MPG on my short trip driving. I have not done an all highway trip as of yet to see how highway mileage is affected. Hopefully I don't lose any. 20 some MPG out on the road is/was kinda nice...

Before the juice I used to get 250-280 miles out of a tank (34 gal). This was towing half of it very heavy. Now I can pull 320-360 miles out of a tank on level #2.

80,002 miles on the 3500.

My mpg with Juice seems to be better. I have about 4000 miles with the juice and 1500 of it pulling heavy. I get .5 to 1 mpg better empty and .5 mpg better pulling. Maybe even more pulling but do not know as most of this has been done in the mountains.

If you drive it easy and take avantage of the increased power without using it, it will get at least one mile per gallon better, no towing. The big deal is towing! If you are worried about fuel mileage you shouldn't own a big truck. However, with the JUICE, I can say, you are the big dog and are not on the porch anymore. This truck will do anything you want and more. What a rig!

Vette Racer-Never said I was worried about fuel mileage, just wondering how this "Juice" works.

It seems that most folks are getting better mileage along with more power. What a deal!!

Is this a chip and what is required for installation?

Thanks.

colorado2002:

Check out the "Product Reviews" section for in-depth info regarding the BD EZ Amp box (which is the same box, different name...both made by Edge).

Bottom line: installation is so simple even a GIRL can do it ! tongue.gif

^...Vette Racer... Your almost completely correct. The truck will do everything, except 100 MPH. Go figure. Get back on the porch, as a dang mini-van will easily top that speed. tongue.gif tongue.gif

Just hit a personal best 19.2 (uncorrected for 235 tire size) on what I call level 1/2. This is programmed OFF (R) so all that is active is timing. I had TH programmed to level 4 for any necessary "brilliant bursts of speed" or shenanigans. This was 330ish mile round trip on 17.2 gallons filled on the same pump with the same method. Gauge still registered slightly above 1/2.

If I check my odometer against mile sticks, it runs at 5% error on the short side, but the speedo is more like 0-2.5% low or within 1-2 mph at 60mph on the dyno.
