Can you use the`88 line and either reconfigure or cut at ends and splice-in new line bent to fit`87?

Check with a shop that makes hydraulic hoses. I'm about to take over a NAPA autoparts shop that has equipment and supplies to make hoses. I'll take my master cylinder in on Monday and see if anything fits - I have to build a custom fitting as well.
BTW: my the shop is being renamed from 193 Autoparts to Rubicon Autoparts and we'll also be operating Rubicon Collision & 4wd Center (a NAPA Autocare center) next door.

It's both, a combination of hard lines and hydraulic flexible lines.
