I had an 01 F-250 CC 4x4 that had never achived 17 MPG, well almost never. I finally reached the 19 MPG number @ 27k and a lot of "new" programing via~chip. Then I sold the dang thing and got this Bute-of-a-truck! I have no "mods" to the GMC as of 22k. I used Delo for 10k(4) then rotella for 8k(4) and now I'm on Delvac-1(2). I don't know if 10 oil changes would be too many for break-in? However, my fuel milage is now starting to climb? There have been many posts of trucks having 15 to 20 MPG right out of the box, not mine. Is it possible that changing the oil so much could have an effect on break-in? I ask this question because I'm selling my 02' and getting an 03' in about 3 or 4 weeks, whenever it comes in. I would like to break my new truck in correctly.
