Installed the 4.61 hot, replacing the 4.30. Truck would not start. Went back to stock and started right away. Put Juice back on and truck started. I put a couple of ties on it to hold the connectors down as I always have and no start. Clipped off the ties and now will start. I would think something is loose for this to happen. Why will it only run hanging loose?

Make sure all of the wires and connectors are fully seated in the plastic connectors.

Sounds like a wire is half inserted...

Exactly what it was. One of the pins on the stock connector was half way pushed in.Runs good now! Now if I can only finish setting up the new sound system....sooo many adjustments!

Moto, glad to hear you found the problem.

I have found that the little "comb like" plastic retainers that push in from the back of the connector can pop loose allowing the pins to push out of place. This typically happens on the truck plug as it si bent out of the way to get the rest of the harness installed.

I don't mean to sound ignorant but I keep hearing the term "juice". I'm pretty sure that's an aftermarket power enhancer of some kind but would like to know more.

Thanks,
