OBD scanner

Just ordered a autoxray ez-scan 5000 OBD scanner.
Now I'm woundering if it will work on our 2001 2500HD duramax.

When I called them about 4 months ago, they said they didn't have a scanner for the Duramax,& didn't plan on making one in the near future.
