What is up? I finally got a 90hp Edge, Juice chip - my first time out on the Hwy at the first decent grade the engine light came on and into limp mode - I disconected the chip, but the problem remains. The tech 2 says: P0093 Fuel System Large Leak Detected??? No vissible fuel leaks are present. Since reset, the engine light/limp mode seems to come on mainly in the hills?? I am in the sticks - the local dearler has no idea??

Thanks

Change the fuel filter. It's probably due.

Check your crankcase for diesel fuel, maybe its going there.

Have the dealer measure the fuel system vacuum at the test port at the front of the engine. If more than 5" of vaccum, it could set a code 0093. This is usually due to a dirty fuel filter, but a fuel line restriction or excessive vacuum in the tank could also be a contributor.

Thanks, I have been checking the crank case for oil - I think that the fluid level has risen.. meaning fuel in the crank = injector troubles??

If you have diesel in your crankcase, it can mean a cracked injector body or possibly a loose connection on some of the internal plumbing. Keep a close eye on it.

By the way, I could not find DTCP0093 in my service manual. Are you sure it is not DTC P1093 ? (However, there is always the possibility my manual is out of date)

I think the P1093 code gets set when max fuel pressure is needed but the fuel system is unable to get it. This can be caused by a restrictive fuel filter (as mentioned above) or injectors that are seeing their final hours of operation.

Given you have changed your fuel filter, I would bet on the injectors (and there have been more than just a few failed injectors  on these trucks to report)
