Oil Pressure

I was wondering what the oil pressure is on average, cold and warm. My pressure stays at around 59 when warm and on the road but when I come to a stop it drops down is this normal.My chevrolet Tahoe (gas) stays level.

Doesn't sound abnormal, or out of spec. It should drop at idle when warm. The "normal" pressure depends on year model, though. The pressure was adjusted in later years.

Ditto on the 59 psi warm and on the road. I think its around 20 warm at idle and nearly 80 cold.

I swithched to 5W-40 Shell syn for the winter and it seems to drop down to the 59 more quickly but otherwise is the same as 15W-40.
