disable wastegate

i was looking on edge products for the duramax juice and on the page it says that it will build 30-32psi boost with the waste gate disabled. has anybody done that and what was the readings? or is this not recomened?

Modifying the wastegate to keep it closed (no matter the boost pressure) can produce an overspeed condition, which can cause the turbo to grenade at approximately 39-psi.

I'd bet Edge's comment wasn't meant to infer that.

If you want to increase boost pressure on the LB7, have a look at Banks' Big Head Actuator (http://www.getpower.com). smile.gif
