Please forgive me if this is a rookie question. I've just moved into diesle with a 2006 Duramax LBZ 6600. Can anyone tell me how to reset the oil filter life?
I drove my previous gas powered vehicle more than 300K by taking care of such things on my own and hope to do the same with this new truck.
Thanks

Welcome to the BB!
I just needed to reset the Change Engine Oil light on my 2001 yesterday....
It can be frustrating... For the LB7's anyway, it involves pressing the accelerator pedal to the floor three time in succession - just after rotating the ignition key to the run position (engine not running). Timing seems to be a factor. It took me a few tries to get-r-done. :D Others may have some additional tips for newer models...

I would think its the same as my lly , when the oil life is on the info center hold down the botton on the lower rt of the steering wheel for about 5 seconds. if you dont have steering wheel controls try holding down the info botton when its on the menu.

I always reset oil after changing, but before I start it the first time, after adding oil.
Have a nice day

If you have steering wheel controls, you can reset as mark said. Or you can do the accelerator 3 times like more power said.
For info, My 03 (LB7) has steering wheel controls, so I don't have to do the accelerator thing if I don't want to.
