I'm getting another ECM from the junk yard to run with my Quadzilla tuner. Should I be able to just put it in the truck and load the tuner software, or will I have to have someone with a TechII set it up for my truck first. :D

Well I guess we will find out in a few days, I have one on its way from junk yard.

The pcm will have to be calibrated to your truck first. It is gonna be vin specific and it may not relate to the rest of your truck if its not talking same language. take it to dealer and they can perform this. First would have to download info from original, then install new and then using TIS programming they could relearn the new pcm. Then you would have the two done. BE ADVISED.. This may throw a RED flag depending on your dealer...

there is a reset method you can do yourself but it takes 60 minutes and it is very regimented.....you might find it on the pacific performance website I did it when I installed my loaner ecm from steve cole.....once its done you can swap back and forth........took me 3 tries I cant remember the steps.......... :D dave

If I get a used ECM its gong to have a different VIN# in it will it still work with this combo or will have to do like dmaxalitech suggests.
