This is the latest from Broker on PUTC,
"The 01 had reached 300,249.mi when it landed in the compound last nite.I guess this will surprise alot of nay- sayers. We put in an altenator, changed fluids,6 new tires on the trailer and she was off. Paint on the fenders is starting to look worse. She has developed a slow leak at the pinion seal, again,Fix next week".
Sounds like it's just about broke in. Has he ever posted #'s on average trailer weight etc...? Would be interesting to know how much that thing pulls on a regular basis. I have a feeling very few of thos miles are unloaded.

Looks like I will be able to drive this truck a long, long time! I should hit that mark in about 10 to 12 years

7mmSTW,
Broker runs a company that delivers cars to leasing companies. All of those miles were pulling a 4-place trailer. He has 3 teams of drivers that run that truck and he said it rarely sits for more than 1 hour.
Here are a couple of (Cut & Paste) quotes by him on another site:
"BUSINESS IS GOOD ! All those snowbirds have to get their vehicles home from Florida. Both GM 's are gona run Florida -Ontario - Montreal- Atlanta for 8 weeks solid Loaded both ways. 2 drivers per rig.The new trailer is already in the yard and she looks bitchen .She is black and has polished aluminium rims, six that is!The new truck will also be Black.19.5 conversion with stainless covers are also laying in the shop waiting. It will be the first time i'll have two matching rigs."
"The truck is getting about 11mpg loaded. I'm mostly loaded.Empty with the trailer we get 15mpg.
Milage increased after the 15,000mi mark.Must say that it has been very consistant.
It seems very touchy on keeping the air filter clean. It looses milage very quickley with the recomended service intervals. We replaced it with a K&N and we clean it every 3-4000miles."

30 miles east of LA. It is near San Dimas, Glendora, Pomona, Clairmont.
What cities are you close to?
Most engine wear occurs during start-up, when engine is cold. With his constant use, his engine should last longer than most. But nice to see one with that kind of mileage anyway :D

Here is a response he gave hoot (AKA Dmax) on another site concerning how he racked the miles up so quickly:
"Ill runn trough the milage master for tha Dmax for you.

This is how we run often. We are less busy sometimes but not lately.Hope fully this will shed some lite on our 270,000mi.
And for your info the guy's drive b"etween 65-75mph.The drivers switch back and forth .The back seat is not always a good place to sleep but they make due.2-4 days is the most they drive in a week .then they are off for 2-4days depending on what is going on.I have put 3 guys on a run, alot on the canadian runs due to bad weather.June - Aug i'm usually slow but the rest of the year i got enough to keep everybody busy.
How is your Dmax doing?
By the way i have a second Dmax arriving this week.
The next time sombody thinks i'm not on the up&up let me know.
Disbelievers can also follow my posts,i usually get on once a month and yak about what's going on.
Usually service items is what i bring up.So far knock on wood there has only been a transmission failure and that is it.The rest has been service & maintenance.
