Signs of Flood Damage

I am considering the purchase of a used 6.5 Sub.

What should I look for as far as Flood Damage? Has anybody experienced this? Where would be a typical place for me to find a sign?

I've also heard about cars/trucks that have 'Dirty Titles' being transported across state lines, registered there, and returned with 'Clean Titles'.

I'm sure there are many more tricks.

The price seems to good to be true...

Any insight?

Pull the trim on the rocker panel and look under the carpet for a dry pad and no rust.

Check in all the corners. I looked at PU a few years back that had silt in the cranies and bits of grass and weeds tucked in the corners in the engine compartment.

Titles a r a little tuffer. Ther are several places online to check. Some dealers will change the speedometer from a wrecked low milage vehicle to increase the value.
