Was just wondering if anyone had some UPDATED info on the new LLY? WHEN WILL THESE ENGINES BE PUT ON ASSEMBLY LINE?

Skidsteer, we just go confirmation today that the LLY WILL indeed go into production for all HD's starting in December. Our admin message from GM this morning also said to look for new and exciting HP and Torque figures in the near future...so it's a go!

as of right now Dec 5th is the initial start up day, but that days is always up to change

rumor has it 100rwhp and 200ftlbs just from new duramax badges :D :D ........really koogt what are the new numbers?

Just got my order number on the 2004 3500 SRW-LT
D/A loaded. No ship date or price yet but they are entering orders. The Heavy duty option sure adds alot of features (Package 1SC).

I have been talking to a few dealers and they don't have a clue yet.

Yes it is part of the Heavy Duty Package. I had to educate my, long time, dealer also thanks to info on this BB. Package is PDN = LLY + M74 + G80 (lkg diff.)+ Z85 (supsension)+ KNP (tran coolr)+ K47 (air Clnr) may be more items in the package.
Still no pricing yet.
Otherwise it's loaded.

According to Edmunds (they just now listed it) the new 6.6 Power Package (engine+trans) is now $5,605 MSRP option price.

Ok.. I'm trying to order a truck right now also.. The LLY option or the PDN "powerpack" doesn't show up in my dealers GM autobook ordering system.

How did you order yours? Any way you could fax me a build sheet so I could show my dealer.

So if I trade my truck in on 11 24 03 My new one WILL come with the LLY? Also think I'll go for the power extending tow mirrors this time. Anyone with some input?

After looking around at GMC.com they only show the LLY in the one ton trucks as of now. I am sure this will be fixed soon!

Beware if ordering PDN package,I just looked in Kelley Blue Book and that package as of today still lists the LB7 engine.I would hate to see someone get the LB7 thinking they had ordered the LLY.If the PDN package includes the LLY it definitely should state so.I also find it amazing how much dealerships and salespeople do not know squat about what their selling.

"Dealers not knowing about the LLY"---- Remember, they can't sell what they don't have and most will stay "dumb" until they have an LLY on the lot!!!!! MHO

LLY was available about 3 weeks ago, but it disappeared from both sites.

Anybody notice that quadrasteer is now available on the 2500HD model? I've driven one for quite a while and once you get used to it, it is pretty nice. Makes a crew cab truck seem like a small car. Just wonder how reliable the steering and CV joints are...
