What is considered good oil pressure in a 6.5?With 15-40 (non synthetic) All warmed up,50 degrees F. outside, mine is at 50#.At freeway speeds,it can be as much as 65#.I recently read that idling, its ok to be as low as 7-9 #.Mine idles around 40#. Rig has 145,000,can I assume lots of miles left on bottom end?

Sounds real good to me. My had similar oil pressure right up to the "end". I had a push rod go thru the rocker arm. Don't know if that was all of it or not.
I think GM states 10 psi min. at idle. Are reading off the GM gauge at idle? I'll bet it's actually lower. My stk gauge reads about 35 psi at idle but my mechanical gauge reads 20 psi. And yes Ive replaced the oil pres switch w/no change in readings. The 2 gauges read the same going down the highway.FYI

Fully warmed up, my factory gauge shows about 42-43 @55-65 MPH and about 20 @ idle. Can't vouch for the accuracy of the gauge, although the gauge has been showing consistant readings for over 95,000 miles now.Truck has 117,500 on it.
