Anyone running big wheels?? (20's-22's)

I've been a fan of lifted trucks forever, though I'm starting to get even more interested in the speed side of this truck.. To be honest, I've never been attracted to the large wheel thing till I saw a 2500 duramax crew cab 4X4 on 22's.. He left the track before I was able to speek to him, though I would appreciated any info on wheel and tire choices.. 20's to 22's..

After visiting suncoast, I still only ran a 14.45 (hot oj and 85 predator).. I had a hard time hooking and only managed a 2.2 sixty.. I want to start launching in 4X4 and figure it's time to get low and add some new boxes..

I have 19.5" wheels/tires on my truck using ARROWCRAFT ADAPTERS (http://www.arrowcraft.com). These adapters convert the OEM 8 bolt pattern to a 10 bolt on 285mm bolt circle, allowing the use of 19.5". 22.5", or 24.5" standard heavy truck wheels from Alcoa or others.

RICKSON TRUCK (http://www.ricksontruck.com) and APP Wheels offer 8 bolt 19.5" wheels that bolt directly to the factory hubs without adapters. The conversion to 19.5" or larger wheels/tires is $expensive$ and the cost for adapters/Alcoa wheels versus Rickson wheels is very similar. IMHO, the larger bolt pattern looks better, and if I damage a wheel - a replacement 19.5" wheel in the 10 on 285mm pattern will be much easier to find at almost any place that services heavy trucks, versus finding a proprietary replacement from Rickson or APP (I chose not to carry a spare).

There are more pics of the 19.5" conversion at the first link in my sig. BTW, the '1/2 sizes' - 19.5", 22.5", and 24.5" are medium or heavy duty truck wheels, and the 'even' 18", 19", 20", or 22" are light duty sizes. The 19.5" x 7.5" Alcoa wheels on my truck are rated at 6600 lbs each.
