Where is the Engine Federal Emission Sticker?

I've looked all over the engine compartment
and can't locate the typical sticker
validating the fact that the truck passes
Federal Emission reguirements.

I do have the little white piece of paper from GM
with "consumer information" which says:

"This vehicle is certified to FEDERAL/MA/ME/NY/VT
EMISSION REQUIREMENTS."

California DMV says this information has to be on the truck!

Is it hidden somewhere on my Texas truck? Thanks.........

They always WERE on the drivers valve cover, but I haven't looked for/at mine in a while...

There is an engine spec tag right where
you said it would be. But is it cryptic....

"Exhaust Emission Control System: CAC, TC, DFI"

Thats all Izuzu wrote. Nothing about the Federal
Emission Requirement.

The question I have is that once we are several
years and several owners down the road... and
the states start requiring smog checks on diesel
engines..... where is the proof that the engines meet
Federal standards??

I found mine on the drivers side of the valve cover. Not on top mind you where it would be easy to read or even see. Instead I found it on the side of the cover, that little 1" high area on the side of the cover. And its hard to read too.

Mine is located on the ECCU which is atchd to the valve cover near the dipstick. Its very wordy and has the right words for DMV. BUT chkd two of my buddies trucks last week and theirs didn't say hardly anything about CA emission compliance ~ go figure. Why? Are you in trouble? :D ~ odoh

No such sticker on my ECCU (main computer)
otherwise called a EDU. Interesting that
my EDU assembled in Mexico. Also found
out that all my radiator hoses made in Brazil!!!

My Texas truck has no Federal Emission
sticker...... on the vehicle.

Wonder if the GM can assist in getting
this issue addressed.
