Salesmen and Misinformation

Cruising through one of my local bulletin boards and came across this little jewel. Things were going along fairly well until a Ford salesman showed up. He gets a little help from a disgruntled board local .

I read and responed to that post. The ignorance of some of those people is amazing. All my F*RD Buddies believe that stuff too.

The Ford dealer's response is written like a true salesman. The only problem is any good salesmen is good because he/she can convince you. It has nothing to do with the truth. Now why the initiator is asking his fishing buddies which truck to buy baffles me. I fish but I'm not going to post on this site which setup works best for Walleyes.

A lot of guys follow the SKA tournaments pulling 30' triple engined monsters --Bass boats on steroids. Same principal-salted. Quite a few(myself included) pull to the keys and rigs are frequently discussed. You get the usual lighthearted brand bashing but this was getting to be too much for me to stomach.

Now they are making 600 RWHP on Powdered metal rods! But the guys making 1000 (YES 1000) HP have to switch to forgings :rolleyes:

Hey! did anyone else notice that one post in that thread about "those guys over in the Duramax forum just flame you and tear your head off - not like F**d Folks who want to help a fellow." Who does that sound like? Could it be? The Wonderful Wandering Wilky??!! Enquiring better-truck-driving minds want to know!

"Ford has the solid front axle which is pefered by true four wheelers and it has a truck like ride, Duramax has more power now but the new g2 powerstroke is coming 3/4 of this year. It has more horse power and a new 5 speed automatic. I have read alot on both sites and the biggest defernce is the way the memembers treat someone that has a problem with their trucks. The gm guys ripe the poster apart and or delete the post, and the ford guys help you out."

There is so much misinformation in that post about all three trucks that it should be deleted from all existance.

Isuzu engines in the HUMVEEs?

GM has more torque?
