Hey just looking for some expert feedback on the additional fuel filter setup on the pages here. Is it worth the 250.00? Steve

Additional fuel filtration is like an insurance policy. Might not need it, but if exposed to the wrong fuel, it could make all the difference.
Also, some diesel owners have better luck than others with regard to the quality of the fuel they have available to them - meaning the level of contamination due to sediment, particles, algae, water, etc.
There is a caveat in the engine warranty that indicates the fuel system warranty doesn't cover fuel contamination... Most dealers cover it, but there have been a few reports through the years where a critical dealer gave the owner some grief. While some would argue that the OEM fuel filter should prevent any contamination from damaging the fuel system, it's still largely a matter of interpretation (the dealer's).
